About Zone & Hour
A little less time math. A little more connection.
Zone & Hour is a free collection of time tools for people who work, travel and stay in touch across borders. Compare cities, check the local date and find a meeting window without creating an account.
Useful before anything else
The converter is the main product. It uses one shared instant to display all selected cities, so a date change in one place cannot leave another row behind. The meeting planner compares the working hours you supply and clearly says when no shared window exists.
Where the information comes from
City names, countries, population-based selection and time-zone identifiers are derived from GeoNames, used under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The catalogue is filtered, renamed in a small number of cases and given compact search aliases. See data sources and selection methods.
Local times are calculated with your browser’s Intl.DateTimeFormat implementation and its installed IANA time-zone rules. The website does not call a paid time API or request GPS access.
What the recommendations can tell you
A meeting recommendation is based on selected work intervals and duration. It is not calendar availability, a holiday check or a claim that one hour is objectively best for everyone.
Corrections and feedback
If a result looks wrong, note the two city names, the full date, the local input time and the displayed UTC offsets. A shared comparison link can help reproduce the issue. Use the contact page to find the configured support channel.
