Every row represents one instant. The timeline cursor stays at the same position while the local clock, date and UTC offset change from city to city.

How the calculation works

How to use the time zone converter

  1. Add your cities

Search 450 cities by name, country or time zone. Compare up to six at once.

  2. Pick a date. Slide through the day.

Set a local time in the first city, or drag the timeline. Every row follows the same moment.

  3. Make the connection

Copy the times or share a link that opens the same comparison.

How time zone conversion works

UTC is the common reference. Each city has an offset from UTC, such as Seoul at UTC+09:00. A city's offset can change when daylight saving starts or ends, so the date is part of every conversion.

New York and London usually differ by five hours, but their clock-change dates do not always align. Use city names and a date for reliable results.

Understand UTC and GMT

Plan meetings across time zones

A convenient morning for one person might be midnight for another. Set each participant's working hours to compare the full meeting duration.

The planner shows shared working time when it exists and clearly labels compromises when it does not.

Frequently asked questions

Does this converter account for daylight saving time?

Yes. Every city uses an IANA time zone through your browser’s Intl API. Offsets are calculated for the date you select, using the time zone rules installed on your device.

What is UTC?

Coordinated Universal Time is the reference used to compare local clocks. UTC itself does not change for daylight saving time.

Why does the New York–London time difference change?

The US and UK switch clocks on different dates. In 2026 the difference is usually five hours and briefly four hours during the transition gaps. Select a date to calculate the actual difference.

Can I compare more than two cities?

Yes. Add up to six cities in the converter or meeting planner. The world clock supports a larger list. Your selections stay on this browser when local storage is available.

How do I find a good meeting time?

Open the meeting planner, choose cities and set working hours. Recommendations consider the full meeting duration. A “Best” label means every participant is within the hours you chose.
